"The film is a bleak punch to the gut, one that can take days to get over after an initial viewing."

I'm not sure I ever got over Requiem for a Dream. Sometimes at night I lie awake thinking about it, although I've not viewed the movie itself in years.

Anyway, great list. Well written and well chosen!

I've heard that from a lot of people, how it takes some time to get over "Requiem for a Dream," and it's entirely understandable. Thanks for the comment and the kind words!

Requiem for a Dream, though probably not in my top 10 movies, was probably the most haunting movie I have ever seen. I don't remember how long it took me to stop talking about it, probably a few weeks. I had to talk about it, though, because if I didn't, I knew I wouldn't move past it. That sounds melodramatic, but I think you know what I mean. It was an amazingly crafted movie. Anyway, great reviews!
